House Resolution 36 brought to the floor by Rep. Barbara Lee (D-Cal) outlines the disparate impact that climate change has on women, which could even drive women to “transactional sex” (prostitution) for survival.
Sponsored by the Committee on Energy and Commerce, the bill cites the United Nations Human Development Report for 2013. The UNHDR states, “that the number of people living in extreme poverty could increase by up to 3,000,000,000 by 2050 unless environmental disasters are averted by coordinated global action.”
The assumption in this statement as in all other declarations of this bill is that climate change is to blame for environmental disasters and without global action the number of environmental disasters will increase by 2050. The most interesting assumption is how climate change through creating environmental disasters, shortage of food and water, displacement, and regional conflict directly impacts women globally more than men. In turn, climate change being the result of these disasters will force women to turn to prostitution for survival. Read more
President Barack Obama is now the first sitting President to address over 1,000 supporters of Planned Parenthood. In the wake of the terrorist attack in Boston, a complete failure to address our national security, as well as legislation to increase gun control and a push for comprehensive immigration reform – will our President finish his term pushing politics over American security?
The answer to this question is an absolute yes.
Planned Parenthood has continued to keep a low profile due to the detestable and disgusting murder trial of Dr. Gosnell, who is charged in the gruesome murder of seven babies born alive in his Philadelphia abortion clinic. Read more
Dinesh D’Souza, one the most outspoken, and well versed conservative warriors in the battle to preserve the American ideal against true Republican and Democratic progressives, has shocked me again.
Not because of his powerful Anti-Obama documentary titled 2016 (which is about the background and worldview of President Barrack Obama) or D’Souza publicly taking on the New Atheist Movement alone using philosophy and Christian apologetics. Today, I’m blown away at an article I found on Glenn Beck’s website The Blaze titled, “I HAVE NO ONE ELSE TO ASK’: DINESH D‘SOUZA SAYS HE PAID HOSPITAL BILL FOR OBAMA’S HALF-BROTHER”, and since the President’s half-brother did appear in the documentary 2016, I am more blown away by the amazing charity of this man who I have had the pleasure of knowing personally.
Dinesh D’Souza was a frequent guest when I was on the air with my syndicated radio program, and no matter the topic D’Souza was always three steps ahead of anyone who disagreed and a very kind and concerning soul. My first encounter with D’Souza was through his book, “Letters to a Young Conservative.” I must have owned 10-12 copies of this book because I would pass it out anytime someone was interested in learning more about the basics of conservatism through D’Souza’s great stories.
His book was very helpful and gave conservatism the intellectual edge over and against the well intentioned programs of the American progressive left.
Here is some more info more on the article at The Blaze.
I believe it is safe to say that we are in the midst a culture war between those who believe marriage is an evolving concept guided by popular opinion and those who believe marriage is a fixed institution between one man and one women, grounded by historical tradition and/or Divine command.
Currently, those who see the meaning of marriage as dynamic rather than static, believe the move toward gay marriage is a matter of civil rights, much like the fight against slavery and racism and the fight for the right of women to vote.
After hearing of another shooting that should not be labeled as just a shooting, but a massacre; the action of a coward, I cried and grieved and prayed.
Many people wondered how long it would take before this issue was used by the anti-gun lobby to bring about more laws to protect citizens from guns.
This is a very old cliche and I believe it is complicated but true, guns do not kill people, people kill people.
We have the right to bear arms legally under the Second Amendment, but this also means that we do not have to bear this right. I have no desire or belief to undermine our constitution or that more gun laws will keep us safe or to take away the rights of lawful citizens. There were no red flags that James Holmes brought up and every bullet and weapon was purchased legally and this attack was planned out for over three months.
What do city codes, building codes, zoning regulations and memebers of the Phoenix Fire Department have in common with Bible studies? What an interesting question. The answer is a mans home, raided by city officials, for having a Bible study in his living room.
This is the not the first time this has happened. Other reports of zoning regulations have stopped Bible studies within persons homes in other states as well. Read more
When you want to be consistent with a fiscally conservative philosophy you may just have to vote for a Democrat. Yes, I am well aware that most conservatives are Republicans, and most vote for Republican candidates. I’m here to say – sometimes they shouldn’t. In this year’s race for Maricopa County Sheriff, we have a more fiscally conservative candidate running than the Republican incumbent Sheriff Joe Arpaio – his name is Paul Penzone and he happens to be running as a Democrat.
Want to learn more about Penzone and his views on the office of Sheriff?
Therefore, I have created a petition calling on all fiscal conservatives of Maricopa County to vote for Paul Penzone who more clearly represents our values as fiscal conservatives. Now is not the time to allow party lines to define our actions – please sign the petition and share with others who believe as we do.
